I'm a 32D even though I look more like a B. I've noticed yesterday that they seem a little heavier/bigger than they used to be. I know they get bigger when you're pregnant, but I'm not pregnant and I should be done growing.

I've been on BC for 3 1/2 years now and have had no side effects.

I'm currently taking zyprexa and lithium, but I don't see how that can cause my breasts to grow.

Any idea why this is happening?

I've been on the psych meds for over a year and a half, I'm not sure why it would suddenly change now even with a med change. I was off the zyprexa for a few weeks now I'm back on them for a couple weeks

When some women start to gain weight they do so in their breasts first...they also tend to lose in their breasts first. How long have you been on the lithium? Some people retain water while taking lithium if they do not drink enough water. Could it be water weight you are gaining in your boobs? Also, how old are you? When I hit my 30's mine got a little bigger.

I've gone from a B cup to an E, within just a few months - at 27!! I thought it might be because I gained a little weight, but I've now lost about 28lbs and my chest hasn't shrunk at all. I've gone up and down in weight before but never moved up from a B. So I too wondered if it was a med side effect, but didn't find anything when I Googled it to suggest that... I did, however, find some info that suggested that women who haven't fully emotionally developed also may not have fully physically developed in that area... so I can't help but wonder if my progress in therapy has something to do with it (I've been in therapy just over a year now). I also read something about when you have a connection with your therapist (in my case the first person I've felt 'connected' with), it can cause the release of oxytocin - the 'cuddle' hormone - which apparently is the hormone released during pregnancy that causes the breasts to grow.

That's my theory, anyway! But like, maybe don't quote me on it...

A couple of thoughts.

Zyprexa can cause EVERYTHING growing, not excepting breasts. Even the tiniest doses of Zyprexa can cause everything growing.

Make sure you shop for bras properly since you have an unusual size. I am 36DDD now (due to overweight) but I used to be 34DD, never 32D, but close enough to you. Since is not a standard size, you need to go to stores that carry that size. Stores such as target carry only 32AB, perhaps C, and for D and bigger they only carry large band size, 38-42 and up. It took me years to figure it out so I wore bras whose band size was too big for me. Awful.

the general advice is to get fitted every 6 months, because 1) your body changes 2) bras lose their shape. But if you know that you personally are going through changes, for whatever reason and even if the reason is unknown, you should get fitted every 3 months. Changes by themselves are OK, but wearing wrong size bras is not.

I believe Victoria Secret stops at D, so you might want to go there. I do know that they do not carry DD in the brick-and-mortar stores, but they might carry D.
