I noticed as I was wiping that I was bleeding, so I checked it out and I found a pimple on the inside of my outer labia, but not inside the vagina. It felt hard. I've never had sex or have been naked with someone else. I started using the Gold Bond that does include talc and I've been using baby wipes because it's been really sweaty down there because of the heat. I've been changing my underwear once or twice a day.
What should I do? I'm very worried that something is wrong. |

Well a pimple is just a clogged pore and you do have pores there. You really don't want talc going up your hoo-hah, cuz you're basically sending little foreign cancer causing agents into your abdomen parts unknown. So you don't want to make that a habit. As for the pimple, you are probably just experiencing irritation. Be gentle and keep the area clean until it heals. I use monistat creams for lube for my personal play sessions, I think it keeps the cooties in check. The pimple should clear up on its own with basic minimal care, see a doctor if you get a fever or suspect a staph infection.

You may want to ask your dr about folliculitis if it keeps happening. But hot weather and clothes that don't breathe would aggravate any undercarriage acne. I think Hankster has a point about the talc.
--I think gold bond was meant for feet? At least Johnson's is supposed to be safe enough for babies. |

You shouldn't be using anything with a perfume on your vuvla or in vagina. Your vag is self-cleaning. Introducing any chemical is upsetting the ph balance which can lead to infections, odor and discharges.

I notice a previous post of yours about ingrown hairs down there - I am thinking it could possibly be this
Shaving does cause ingrown hairs, and they can become painful and infected. I would personally go to the Dr;s, as trying to squeeze it or remove the hair could lead to further infection and/or scarring L |

I agree its not recommended to use any kind of powder, because this contains talc which is suspected to contribute to ovarian cancer. It can also clog the pores more. Buy some plain Epsom Salts and run a hot bath. Baths can be bad and cause UTI's if not done properly because bacteria from the rear region can go in the water........ so here's how to do it safely. Shower and soap the lower region, clean your bathtub first...then put 2 cups of Epsom Salts and soak for 30 mins. When you're sleeping let the area breath, so don't wear underwear and let that area breath as much as possible. You can even use a blow dryer to fully dry after showering.
If this doesn't improve or gets larger or more painful, this might be a boil or staph infection or an ingrown hair as mentioned above. If it gets worse then do tell your doctor. You could also try Tea Tree Oil soaked on some gauze and apply / leave in place - only use this on the outer area of course. Don't try to squeeze it. Always wear cotton underwear and stay away from nylon ones. Although thongs might look good for some, bacteria can migrate along the string and cause infections. Hope this gets better soon and see your doctor if this doesn't go away on its own. __________________ This is our little cutie Bella *Practice on-line safety. *Cheaters - collecting jar of hearts. *Make your mess, your message. *"Be the change you want to see" (Gandhi) Last edited by lynn P.; Jun 24, 2013 at 04:06 PM..
