so I got diagnosed with HPV about a year ago and did not show outward signs of any symptoms so now its been another year and I am going back to see if its there still or not.

it maybe it may not. I am really scared of this....cause I am not in a position where I have a lot of money. and if it comes back positive then I have to make arrangements to see my GYN I would imagine. To get colposcopy done. So that the specific strands of HPV can be known and if I am in any danger of getting cervical cancer.

I know cancer is not an amazing thing at all. But I my thoughts on it are if it happens it happens. And I just continue on with my life and deal with things.

dosn't take away the fact this is really horrifying though

Have you already had a colopscopy done last year? Are you getting the results of a pap smear? If you do not have medical insurance, you might be able to go through the National Cervical Cancer Coalition or ACS...Search for "free pap smears" in you city & State.....I know they provide free pap smears and mammograms for people whom have no insurance.

I tested positive for HPV yrs ago and had to get papsmears every3-6 months. I had a coloposcopy, then yesrs later I had a LEEP.

PM me if you want.

umm what I got done last year was a generalized hpv test that just saw if it was present or not, they said they colospscopy would detect the exact strand and see if it was in fact possibly cancerous but the public health center where I got it done does not offer that.

well it seems like the hpv shed itself I don't have it anymore which is a good thing

but a few others have been going on and I kind of feel in the dumps about all that now too
