You often hear men talk about "nice guys finish last" and you hear them speak about being put in the "friend zone"......but the same thing happens to us......

Hell, I don't even make it to the friend zone...more like the "acquaintance zone" for me.

But yeah, that's definitely true.

I've been 'friend-zoned' with a twist. Like a Sister or a Therapist.
It sucked, hated going through that, seriously?! (then again, the timing for the new girlfriend, came out as truth, as starting earlier than, um, that 'talk') whatever! :eyesroll:

Past is the Past, glad I endured, lived to see a better, brighter future with someone else, no more 'friend zone' here

poppy, nothing if you have other people around you that you like and have potential with. everything, if he's your only bet.

In my experience, if men don't want to date you or do you, then you might as well not exist. No guy I have ever known has ever pressed for a friendship. If he says he just wants to be friends, that's just his attempt at saying, "Not interested, get lost."

Edit: Actually, there have been a couple guys in my past that pretend to want to be friends for a little while after I rejected them once. They will play the part of the cool, nice guy for a while. Then they have tried to get with me again and after rejecting them for a second time, they go completely psychotic/hater/stalker mode and call me every name in the book and then they never want to see or talk to me again.

Well, that would explain why I've never had male friends my age...*sigh*

Yep I have been friend-zoned! (I also friend-zone a lot of guys.. without always trying to mind you! So I've also probably friend-zoned myself...haha. I am bad at picking up on cues).

Tend to either get treated like a sister or like one of the guys. While "nice guys" think that girls all want to be with "bad boys" or whatnot... the guys will pass right over you if you aren't "hot". A lot will hold out and then friend-zone you, only to then go to you when the more attractive girl turned 'em down.

Wow! Sorry, I just sort of made myself crack up laughing with just how stereotypical that is and how wrong it feels to say. But it is an observation I've made over the years with my own experiences.

I believe you, but this definitely doesn't give me much hope...ha ha...nice to know I'll always be the second, third choice, or even further down the line. Oh well, they wouldn't be my first choice either...my first choice isn't in my life anymore, so I suppose it's fair enough in the end.
