I went to the dr today and found out I'm 6 weeks and four days pregnant. Due July 19, 2014. My mom wouldn't even look at me when I told her. I've cried more times than I can count and had a lot of anxiety attacks. I'm trying my best not to stress so I lose the baby but it's so hard. Any advice on how to stop stressing so I don't lose my sweet little one?

You are halfway to the 12 week marker, well a little more than halfway there.
What are the circumstances, surrounding your mom not even looking at you? What are your strategies, that you usually use, to combat anxiety attacks? Make sure, you are getting enough sleep, a good 8 hours, at night. Stay hydrated, make sure you are getting proper nourishment. PS. Don't forget folic acid. Prenatals, if you can folic acid, less harsh, at first, #1 thing you want in your system, if you cant get the vitamins. |

So sorry your mom is reacting this way. A congrats is in order--I doubt even through difficulty that you will ever ever regret having a child.
Take good care of yourself and find support from friends, dr.'s, support groups. Take it one step at a time, breathe--you'll be ok!!! |

Congrats your life will be changed forever. Your mother will hopefully come to accept it.

In my experience, we are a lot stronger and able than we usually give ourselves credit for. We can make it through all sorts of intensely stressful periods in life ~ so, rest assured, you CAN do this!!
When I was pregnant, I gained a lot of comfort and amazement in the fact that I had a little baby growing inside of me. They grow SO fast! As a result, we grow too. Emotionally, physically, and spiritually (in some ways). Try to get rest now ~ your body needs it! Make sure to drink lots of water every day, milk, and eat lots of veggies, fruits, and healthy proteins. Continue to go for daily walks, stretch, and go to local second-hand child stores. They have LOTS of reasonably priced new-looking clothes, blankets, highchairs, bouncers, books, music, and cribs. It's definitely worth checking out, to help you get into the right mood & get more excited about being a mommy. Gentle hugs ~ I hope that your mom becomes more supportive to you soon. Very best wishes to you...take care! __________________ "Only in the darkness can you see the stars." - Martin Luther King Jr. "Forgive others not because they deserve forgiveness but because you deserve peace." - Author Unkown |
