Is it appropriate if my thigh-highs show under my birthday dress? I'm wearing a red lacey dress that comes just over the thigh highs but you can see it when I move around. It has little black bows on them. I'm comfortable wearing them but I'm wondering if I should wear tights that come up to the hip instead. I'm planning on going out to dinner and then to the bar. Thanks.

If it looks good, go for it. Have a great birthday!
