Yeah, that's so unbelievable. This poor woman now has to deal with treatments and everything that goes along with having cancer.

Good grief - I am amazed something like this could happen! Is she rich? (probably not) but you could sue her!!

I am glad that you have a clean bill of health though I can't imagine what you must have gone through.

And thanks for the wonderful laugh this thread gave me too!

i confronted the nurse. told her that she needed to hear what i wanted to say. she didn't want to hear it. i told her how much her mistake had affected me, my family and my friends. and i told her that there is no time, ever, that a nurse gives a patient a DX. and then i asked her if she understood me and she nodded head and i walked off...........

can the state boards be contacted to register complaint? are RNs like MDs in that any complaint stays in their file? her behaviour after discovering the mistake was what needs correcting. glad you spoke your mind to her. wish there was more you could do as in medicine covering one's tracks/*** can COST LIVES!!

huge relief you're okay. deep concern for the woman with the scary results. prayers for her and her family.

I'm glad you spoke up to her. I'm disgusted she's still working there, though.
