Kind of embarrassing but I have been dealing with constipation for awhile and I noticed for the last 3 months whenever I strained too hard when on my cycle my tampon would come out. About a week ago, when I was trying to have a bowel movement, it felt like something was pushing out of my vagina. I inserted a couple of fingers and I felt something that felt "squishy". I called my doctor and can't get in until the 5th of March. I was just wondering if anyone has dealt with a prolapse and how did your doctor treat it. Any info would be great because I'm kind of freaked out.
Thanks

I only know of this happening to my mom's paternal grandmother. She'd a most difficult at home delivery. Years later, she'd had suspension surgery.

Are kegal exercises helpful?
Do they[doctors office] realize why you need to see them? Are there any local walk in health centers? If protracted, untreated could cause further complications.

I've tried kegels, but no difference. I read that on web md as well and I may be missing something, but I don't get how they would move "things" back into place! Haha!

I get my healthcare through the VA and they are always so booked. The nurse didn't seem too concerned, but it's kind of nerve racking not knowing what's going on. My appt is on Thursday finally so I guess I'll stay nervous until then. My nurse is not a really sympathetic person. Very short on the phone and acts like you're bothering her. Not impressed with her or my new doctor. Unfortunately changing healthcare providers at the VA is not easy since they are so booked. Due to past sexual trauma, I am also limited to female doctors.

I am not enjoying this aging process!

I had one w my last baby.. It was a stage 2 after delivery of my last kid and it's now it's back to pretty much normal/stage one. I saw a pelvic floor physical therapist. Was it embarrassing?? Definitely!!! Worth it though. They teach you exactly how to do certain exercises and I'll have those skills forever if it ever happens again!

I saw the doctor and I guess the back of vagina fell to the front. Nice. She wants to do a full work up to make sure I'm in good general health and then I will probably need surgery. Not looking forward to that, but at least it will be repaired. Ugg
