Usually when people travel, you get a little nervous. My boyfriend went up to Phx for work on Wednesday and while I was relieved when he got back, I wasn't too worried. Well, he had to go back today and I was a little worried, telling him to text me as soon as he got there. I went to Grandma's today and told her he had to drive to Phx and she started talking about how dangerous it is to drive on the highway in this wind because of dust. So then I was a little more concerned....then I knew he had to be there at 1pm and it was 12:56 and he hadn't sent a text yet. I was so relieved when I got the text that he arrived safely that I got all tearful!!!
He's driving back now and I am a basket case. I've just never felt this way before....and it scares the hell out of me that he'll be taken from me already. Is that paranoia or what??? I asked my Grandma today, "How soon after your first date with Grandpa did you know you where in love?" She replied that she knew on her first date with him. She said they waited a few days before they talked about it, and when they did, they both kept saying there was no way they could be in love that quickly. And that's the exact conversation I've had with Brian!!! We're shocked at how quickly we've fallen in love. Everything I described to my Grandma, she nodded her head, saying that was exactly how she felt with my Grandpa. Getting butterflies in the stomach when I think about him, getting weak in the knees when I imagine a kiss, wanting to cry out of happiness when I talk about him. She said that was exactly how it was with Grandpa. They were married and in love until the day he died, and she's still so in love with him she'll never see another man. I've always wanted love like my grandparents had and now I've found it. So that must be why I'm such a basket case. I won't rest easy until he is safely off the highway and back in Tucson. __________________ |

((((((rayna))))))) how grand to be in love!!
I worked with a lady that married her husband after only 2 wks of knowing each other. They feel madly in love and went off and got married. They just recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversay and had a REAL wedding. She wore a wedding dress and had the whole thing. They were so happy to marry again. I would never have thought it would happen to people but when you here about it from people you know....then you realize...love has no time limit... I am so happy for you!! snow __________________ SNOWFLAKE |

Rayna, my parents knew they were in love with each other after spending an evening together talking when they were 16 years old. My dad spent a few years overseas in the Army and his love for mum didn't fade. There's no such thing as "out of sight; out of mind" when you're in love. Mum worried about him every day. They got married when they were 21 and they've been married for over 43 years... and they're still in love... and they still worry when the other is away. That's part of love. I'm glad you have that in your life now.

Hi Rayna,
I'm glad he has showed up in one piece -- right as rain. Anyone know where that expression comes from? Hugs, EJ |
