is it true from your experience, girls, that women DO waste huge amount of money?
i really hear girls from my class and such who always tell how they buy clothes. i can understand it when i feel that all my clothes are old and i feel disgusting in them i go buy lots of shirts and some jeans and whatever. but after that i feel satusfied and usually i don`t like taking out huge amounts of money. i don`t need then new things for the season. now i just wanted to know... how you ladies deal with it-do you love shopping? is anyone addicted to it? you know like it was writted about Britney that every time she was sad she went to buy clothes. (well SHE can efford ) haha. maybe some of you have daughters who have this shopping addiction....not only for clothing...whatever. if you are familiar with this situation, how do you deal with it? sometimes i don`t understand myself! why every year u feel like having new clothes? sometimes it`s because my taste chasges, after i change personaly. we always change. always grow. spiritually. and when our mood changes we want smething new ... but i would like to be setisfied with what i have. i mean-your closet can be FULL but you don`t like anything there..eh, what a waste! |

I love to buy clothes, and it makes me smile. Not sure why. But it does. I buy on e bay now, it saves me lots of money. I think pretty new things. They make me feel better.
I have am amazing closet full of clothes and I always want just one more thing. Then I have nothing to wear when I do go out, or to work, or just to hang out. I am sure many people have a theory on it. It is cheaper than drugs, and I can always re-sell it. __________________ “Knowing others is wisdom; Knowing the self is enlightenment; Mastering others requires force; Mastering the self needs strength” Lao Tzu [image]http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i185/glittergus/stars/stars_24.gif" border="0[/image] |

I love shopping. I'm so mad since the lack of money right now in my family, I can't go shopping every month!!!!! But I will soon! =]
I spend usually about this much... Jeans- $30-60 Shirts- $15-30 (usually about $20 though) Flip-flops- $15 (Oh how I love those Old Navy 2 for $5 deals!) Bathing suits- Eh. Tough to say since alot of nice bathing suits arent made for people with kind of large boobs at age 16! My parents hate how I spend so much on clothes like that. But then they think it's worth it since the clothing is nice. But usually I would spend my own money like that but since I don't have a job from getting fired last fall....I don't do that as much. But that's basicly what all my clothing costs around. Won't lie... I love shopping. I love purses too. I'm purse crazy __________________ "I tried to be perfect, but nothing was worth it. as a female I am an oddity. I do not like to shop. I do not like to spend money. If I need something I go to the stiore that I think will have the irem. I will check out one or two similar items/prices and buy the best one for my purposes. Recently I did buy three pair of shoes in one visit. This is unsusual as I usually buy one pair of shoes a year and that is the only pair I wear for that year.
I am not fashion conscience...never was. I am an old hippie. I wear out everything I have before I replace it. |

I rarely buy new clothes and tend to wear old comfy stuff that I wear into the ground (to the holey stage). Mail order shopping for clothes is better but then you can't be assured of the right fit. I have friends who go clothes shopping at least once a week and always end of buying new shoes, pants, purse, or something! I don't know what they do with all the stuff. My closet is full enough as it is without buying new stuff so frequently. If I have to go shopping for clothes, I prefer to avoid my most dreaded place, the shopping mall. I hate to set foot in one. I have a 16 year old daughter and she loves to shop for clothes and go hang out at malls with her buddies. My 2 sisters are like me, they hate to shop. But my mom loved shopping. I think maybe the shopping thing skips generations. I do like to shop for electronics, however. __________________ "Therapists are experts at developing therapeutic relationships." |

I do a lot of my shopping online, but I do go to stores sometimes too if it is for something where the fit might require trying it on before buying it. I'm in sales so I have to look nice for my job. So I try to keep up with what is fashionable.
I'm not one of those people that goes shopping for a day though. I like to get in and out of the store as quickly as humanly possible. __________________ |

I love shopping. I hate not having enough money and time to shop as much as I'd like.

I hate clothes shopping. I like wearing comfy clothes and continue wearing them even when they start falling apart. As I'm writing this I'm wearing something with holes in it. LOL

I am definitely addicted to shopping...I can't walk through a store without stopping to at least look at clothes, and end up buying something. I don't know...clothes make me feel better about myself, probably because I don't like the way I look, so if I buy clothes I like it makes me like my appearance a little bit more..

I love shopping - especially for jewelery and books. I once read a study that said more women like to shop than men because women still tend to have more service / support type jobs and going shopping gives them a chance to be waited on.
Since I'm out of work at the moment I don't even let myself go into malls. --splitimage |
