I'm reposting this in this forum, to see if I get more responses. I just one one reply.

I posted this in the Social Chat forum, but I forgot about this one.

Can anyone recommend a good magazine, in print/physical form (not "online only"), for women over 50?? I'm thinking of a beauty/health type of magazine. Or it could be more general, such as including things like workplace articles.

I've been reading Allure since 1991, but I'm finally sick of it as it's not what it used to be. It's getting more like a "traditional" beauty magazine, constantly telling how to look thinner, younger, and sexier----as if you look like $hit the way you are! Their philosophy used to be just that: Inner beauty. And how every woman is beautiful in her own way!

This is why I stopped reading stuff like Glamour years ago.

Sick of the articles directed to much younger women. The models in the photos are young, and "beauty makeovers" are all for women under 30 or 25, and most of the mag is ads now. I rip them all out before reading, and I end up with a stack of at least 1/2 " thick! I'm left with few articles to read.

They also send me my renewal notice at the last minute, claiming it's the "4th and final notice", yet I never get any of the earlier ones. I get all my other mail, so it's something on their end even though they say they are sending them out!

My subscription is about to expire, and I decided to let it. Hardly look at it anymore. There's stuff in there now & then I enjoy, but not much. Each issue is only a $1, and it's not even worth that.

Well, noni, I think that "AARP" has some really good articles & I'm not even 50 yet! Seriously, LOL!!

"Redbook" may be a more enjoyable magazine for you. Or, perhaps "O:The Oprah Magazine". "More" magazine is another option, as is "LivingBetter50+".

Hope that a couple of these ideas work well for you! (((hugs)))
