I was supposed to have an u/s and a mammogram tomorrow. I got a call today that they have cancelled the appointment as they booked me with a male tech (who don't do breast u/s). Would I like an appointment in 2 weeks? I have already waited 2 weeks, and going crazy in the meantime. They are sending me to a different location on Dec 1st. I don't know how I am going to last that long waiting.

Take a deep breath and try to relax. Most lumps turn out to benign. It turns out I have very lump prone breasts and so my Dr. finds a new lump at every annual physical for the last 6 years; I'm always sent for an US and mammogram. So far they've all turned out to be nothing to worry about.

2 weeks seems very far away, but the time will pass quickly if you don't obsess about it.

frankly I would prefer a male tech/doctor to do breast or any more intimate exam.

It is done and it is a complex cyst, to be re-evaluated in 6 months.
