Hi! So I've tried birth control a few times before, and any I've tried seem to make me sick, anxious, moody, ect. I have very irregular periods and always have, so I really want to stay on something to regulate them.
I just had Mirena for a few weeks and was tired, anxious, etc. and took it out, now I've just started Nuvaring and swear I'm already feeling emotional and more depressed. ![]() I know birth control and depression/anxiety are iffy, and I'm sure they vary for everyone, but I've been trying to find any kinds that are least likely to have negative emotional side effects. Is it just hopeless? Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! ![]() |

It sounds like you're switching types of birth control very quickly. It can take up to three months for your body to adjust to the hormones, but once it does, some of the side effects might disappear.
