About a year ago, I noticed that I was losing hair on my head, and the patch of thin hear was becoming very noticeable. I had to switch hairstyles, and comb my hair over from one side to hide it, and even then it was kind of visible.

I went to my Dr. about it, and asked what could be causing it, and she tested my thyroid and iron levels. Turns out I was really low in iron, so she had me start taking a high dose iron supplement.

I started noticing in the last couple of weeks that less hair was coming out when I comb it. Then last night I realized that my bald spot was filling in with hair, and it's no where near as large or noticeable as it was.

This makes me very happy.

So if you're loosing hair, I'd suggest asking your Dr. to check your Ferritin levels as a first step.

Thank you for your post. I'm hoping my thinned out areas (almost half my hair) will grow in too. I hope it's not too late for me.

Great! I am 50! I had hair thinning, as well. It has stopped, but I am not sure what is just the normal aging process.
