I have gained a lot of weight and as a result of it, I now have a line between my breasts when I wear a bra; I want to show it. That and the buttocks are the two areas about which I can say "weight gain" with the emphasis on gain as something positive.

Do not get me wrong - if I could go back to my previous figure with less pronounced breasts but a pronounced waistline, I would. That is not an option for me - I have lost 10 lbs off my worst weight via exercise and hope to lose some more now that I am about to start commuting by bike, but I am not going to be able to go from 230 lbs to 140 lbs.

So I want to show what I have, basically, and stay positive.

What tops would do it? I am not talking about massive cleavage, but just a modest one.

My current size is US 40DDD.

Thanks,
Natasha

First off, I would use a supportive bra that brings the girls together nicely, but doesn't spill them out over top of your shirts. That is the key to nice and noticeable cleavage. For shirts, I would wear V-Necks, but not the deeply plunging V-Necks. Moderately plunging will be plenty. After all, save some mystery for the guys to get intrigued over. Remember, you are out to advertise the the goods for sale, not give them all away up front.

I love how you put it . I will go to Target to look for V-Necks for now.

I am not large (perhaps that doesn't qualify me...)

A queen anne neckline is awesome. It makes the most of your assets and, due to a little bit of a optical illusion, makes your waistline look smaller.

Make sure you have a well-fitting bra...you don't want quad-boob.
Thanks for this!

Thank you for writing to me! I did not know this term, but I looked it up and I know what you mean; it is gorgeous. Anything that would make my waistline look smaller is welcome.

I get fitted for bras at Nordstrom, so that part is taken care of. I will now look for inexpensive Queen Anne neckline tops.

I am trying to say the exact same thing to myself - look, I have gained something beyond the belly (breasts and buttocks). Suck in the belly and it looks good. Staying positive!

Thank you .
