Has anyone had one of these? I was told that my uterus is not homogeneous and that I have a polyp and that they'd be doing a D&C. Isn't that what they do for an abortion? I am NOT pregnant or anything like that. I'm going to be sedated so that's good. The procedure is tomorrow at 130est...please send good thoughts!
Also, if you've been through this and have anything to share that might make me feel better, please do. I do not want to hear any horror stories. |

((((YOLO Lady)))))
I did have a D&C, several years ago. I was scared at first, but the medical staff was very kind and reassuring to me. That helped a lot! ![]() (((((hugs)))))

I hope that the procedure is over by now, and that you're back home resting comfortably.
I had a hysteroscopy last year. It was not bad at all... but I don't think they did any kind of D&C. I asked the doctor about dilation, and she said that she wouldn't need to do it for this, that they had a very small instrument with a camera and a scraper (ugh, sorry, for lack of a better word). Or, maybe I misunderstood. Hope your procedure was not too bad, and that you have some time to rest and recover! |

Thank you both! I made it through the procedure and am doing fine! No pain or cramping or anything. I was heavily sedated and don't remember too much. I came home and slept for a couple of hours and am doing ok. Now it stinx waiting for results which won't be for a couple of weeks. Fingers crossed that all is well. Thanks again.
