Pregnancy Nausea Pregnancy Nausea Pregnancy Nausea

Today it is awful, even with the medication the doctor gave me.

I've tried what seems like everything and the only thing that seems to just barely take the edge off it is a combination of very cold drinks, medication, and dry crackers.

I know I am probably whining a bit but I am so tired of feeling nauseas all day all the time!

Any other women know any weird or wonderful home remedies for the nausea?

Yes Ray I just found out about a month ago.. but I haven't been around much as I was moving and then my computer died. So you may not have seen the post I made in general!

It is my first indeed, and so far things have been going fine aside from the nausea I experience. Today Im just feeling a litte sick and tired of it. And thats ok on the advice! I appreciate your words anyways.

Congratultions Rainbowzz!

When are you due?

You might try sucking on a peppermint candy. If you can lay down with a pillow under your knees, that will help too. Keep the heat down.

Wet, cold washcloth on your forehead might make you feel better.

Hang in there, it will get better!
Okie

My thoughts are with you....... I remember when I was carrying my 3rd child - I could not even think about getting out of bed in the morning before I ate an entire package of saltinecrackers. then I would move slowly.

.... I did this for most of my first 6 months.

Rainbowzz, first, congrats on your pregnancy!

I had terrible morning sickness with my first baby. Soda crackers were never far from my hand.

With my second pregnancy, the doctor mentioned to me that taking iron can make one very nauseous and make morning sickness a lot worse. At the time, in my first trimester, I was taking pregnancy vitamins, which contain an iron supplement. So I switched to a non-iron containing vitamin, and voila, my morning sickness was practically cured overnight! It made me really mad that my doctor (a different guy) had never bothered to tell me this during my first pregnancy.

Anyway, are you taking vitamins that contain iron? If so, try taking a non-iron vitamin. Sure, we need more iron when we're pregnant, but it's not going to really be that detrimental to you or your baby to be a little anemic for the first couple of months of your pregnancy. It was way better for me than being so sick to my stomach all the time. Ask your doctor if you have doubts, but it worked for me. Good luck!

I was fortunate enough not to have morning sickness in any of my pregnancy but my daughter was not so lucky.

I agree with sunrise about the iron vitamin. She was a pregnancy vitamin with iron in the morning so the doc switched it to night before bedtime but that didnt help either. So she had to quit taking the vitamin with iron.

Hi everyone!

Thanks for the replies.

I'm due sometime in april, we don't know exactly when yet as Im only about two months along and still waiting for bloodwork to come back before I get my physical.

Unfortunately I am no better. I had to quit my job because symptoms were so bad, and am still spending most of my days lying down. Im frustrated, sick, and miserable! But, Im managing to still get food into me here and there, so I guess that is a good thing.

I do feel better now that I dont have to worry about my job to be honest. It was just simply too much for me to handle right now with being sick all day.

Sorry so short but Im going to lie down again!

Hi Rainbowzz. I hope you start to do better with this soon.

My husband and I are going to try to have a baby soon so some of these tips will be helpful for me.
