I am feeling better, thank you....I've accepted that I'm hitting a place in life where I'm starting to feel grief from the death of my mom way back in 99. I haven't had the proper greiving stage....I started drinking not long after she died and numbed out most feelings....and now being sober just over 2 years, the feelings are starting to come up, and the anniversary of her death is next month on the 15th. My boyfriend is looking into getting me some grief counseling, something I never had.

So for the most part, I'm feeling better, but there's this underlying sadness. It'll get better, just not right away.

im sorry rayna. the only thing i guess is that grief is such a natural healthy process. it hurts so much but its something important to do when you have the strength to face it. i hope you can get a counsellor to help you through.
good luck and take care of yourself. im glad you re feeling a bit better at least.

Yes, it is a natural thing. I never did it properly though, so it will be good to get in and get help for it. I'm glad to be feeling it right now, honestly. For so many years, I stuff emotion and it turned to poison. I don't want to do that anymore. Being sad just means I miss her, and thats ok.
