I hate that their names still haunt me and leave me feeling fearful, sad, unloved and rejected some 24 years later - as though they could take him away from me or that maybe he still thinks about them sexually - even though he says they do not. |

P.S. <font color="red"> or </font> BTW
All this upset in me is truly about healing....... and not about me falling apart again - even though it may seem as though I have fallen, am falling. |

Hi Rhap,
Man, that sounds dreadful! I'm sorry you had to go through all that. I caught my ex-husband and my best gf together when I came home from work one day. Got divorced and he married her. She has my same name IRL, so it was really weird. I have NEVER been able to trust a man since. It took 10 years before I could trust another female enough to be close friends. Jeez!! I totally get how those names could bother you still today. If you are able to find healing, will you please share your secret with me? XO, Okie __________________ |

Sorry that happened to you. I know how certain names, looks, etc., can get in your crawl when they belonged to people who hurt you.

A deep rooted feeling resonated by these names.... these females in My Mans life.
I cannot deal with - cope with the thought of being rejected / abandoned for another female. REASON BEING: My dad left my mom (and family) for the baby sitter My dad married the younger baby sitter and they had a family My dads new wife and baby girl - took my place in his heart and in his life .... I use to be daddy's precious little girl - but then he chose another, now I am left & over time forgotten. |

i to can understand how those names can grate on your nerves every time you hear them,
i too wonder if my hubby thinks about the other female, wont mention name but worse for me i visit friends were we used to live and quite often see her walking around without a care in the world, but i was given advice that i will allways hold close, dont let her win by making me scared to be in that area, so Rhapsody maybe we should have a hate that name thread ((((((((((((((((((Rhapsody )))))))))))))))))))))) __________________ No kind action ever stops with itself. I don't want to post the name that makes me cringe because I have a friend here with the same name, well its the same when shortened anyway. Its the woman my dad cheated on my mom with, the woman he took to my mom's wake......the woman still in our lives....the woman who stopped him from going to Nashville when he had the chance. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!

There are one or two names that make me cringe as well. One is the mother of my husband's daughter and he sees her every day!
I understand completely Rhapsody! __________________ Crying isn't a sign of weakness. It's a sign of having tried too hard to be strong for too long. |

one is the name of the man my mother cheated on my father with. our next door neighbour who was a good friend of the family. one of his sons has the same name as his father but another has the same name as that man who probably took advantage of me when i was drunk. hate that name too.

There was a man who turned my world upside down when he married my then best friend and ruined her life. I see the name all the time though, his name was Ray, and everyone called him RayRay, just like I'm called here. Talk about a way to deal with that name! Most times I don't even think about him anymore, because its been reclaimed as an affectionate name for myself.
