As a female
I've been treated most horrible
throughout my life.
As early as ....about age 9 or 10 years of age
I've been victim of lewd comments from young/teenage boys
as far as I'm concerned it's very violating & destroys the innocence.
I could never understand why some parents don't raise boys to be
somewhat more of a gentleman.
The opposite sex terrifies me & with good reason.
I'm a military veteran. I've been out for awhile now. I didn't want to make the military a career b/c of the abusive way women are treated. No equality whatsoever. I was subjected to the cruelest of treatment that haunts me to this day. I like to say whats on my mind. If you tell a man your not interested in him, then OH BOY all hell breaks loose. If you don't pay attention to a man when he is interested then all hell breaks loose.
Example: I'm eating my dinner it's early at a taco take out place, some stranger was trying to get my attention, I wasn't paying any attention but to my food I was really hungry. So this guy pitches a FIT to his buddy that he was with. His buddy says to him the following: "Well maybe she didn't hear you" meaning me, want to know what the infantile man's response was to this? "I don't care"! just like a big baby.
I'm tired of the way men treat women. I grew up seeing women get treated like dirt including my own Mother.
Women aren't treated equally especially in the workplace I know, I've experienced this many times.
And women are paid less than men.
I finally can get this off my chest. I've never had anyone to tell this to.
I've been carrying this around for much of my adult life.

"Me too." Thanks for sharing. Many women have been touched, groped, harassed, catcalled, etc. And a lot worse, unfortunately.

I was attractive when I was younger. I got a lot of unwanted attention from men.

When I rejected advancements I was called a lesbian. I don't know how many times I have heard that from stupid a-holes who couldn't accept the fact that I wasn't interested.

I have been a hardcore feminist and I see a direct correlation to being harassed and abused. Also I grew up in a very chauvinistic ,predominantly, male family.

By the way, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a lesbian. Not an insult. Jokes on them.
