My friend had sex on December 21st and now worried she is pregnant. I don't know anything about ovulation, but she is late though she did say sometimes it takes a couple days from when she thinks she'll have her period for her period to start. Wouldn't that be too soon after sex for her to determine if she is pregnant? Would she still get a period after she had sex two weeks ago if she was pregnant? I really don't know how it works if it's only been a couple weeks, hoping someone can clarify.

Ovulation is within a couple days before and a couple days after the period. There are otc kits for early indications. Not that stress such as worrying about it can't wreak havoc with a woman's cycle.

I looked at the calendar. At this point she could already get a positive pregnancy test. A negative result may still be false. It only takes roughly 2 weeks after ovulation/sex to build up enough hormones to do the test. Most people would not get their period while pregnant, but some people do. If she's concerned, she should test.

When was she scheduled to have her period?
One is least likely to get pregnant for about five ve days prior to getting her period
