I've always struggled with doing my nails. I put the polish on and its pretty and then the next day its chipping. Well yesterday I found an amazing top coat. Its Sally Hansen Advanced Hard as Nails Strengthening Topcoat. The directions said to apply 2 minutes after putting any nail color on and it dries it fast and seals in color. I had my doubts.....but I did and it an my nails still look fresh and even shiny. I'm WAY impressed. Thought I'd share.

A really good professional nail polish is OPI ( I am thinking Regis Hair Salons sell OPI nationwide). They got some really neat colors and it lasts a long time too. Every time you paint your nails you should always use a layer or two of clear topcoat. This should last at least a week if not a week and a half with maybe a touch up on the tips a bit. I do like Sally Hansens products too. Just dont like the nail colors as much cause ~ well excuse me.. but the colors look oldladyish lol.
Makes me sad I cant do this anymore. I've got my nails bitten down to nothing from stress and cant afford it anymore. Waaaaaaaaaa!!! __________________ |

i just bought this stuff from vendors in the middle of the mall halls...you know the ones that pull (more like drag) you in to sample their product and then pretend to take it way below price *just for you of course* well yes...i got pulled in and i loved it...its a kit that has this buffer...with four different sides...one sands it down alittle the other makes it alittle more smooth...then you have your pre buffer and then your ultimate shine buffer side (4 sides in a block looking thing) and i tell you what the look of shiny healthy nails is soo pretty i dont need polish...it helps me to not bite them and helps my nails grow to...the kit also comes with a natural oil to trap your natural shine it lasts for weeks...im telling you i love it....its called Vivo Per Lei Dead Sea Minerals...i love it hehe

I've got one of those, just a thing from Walgreens with 7 stages. Love it!!
Oh and Beth Sally Hanson has come out with a ton of new colors, 2 new lines called diamond and pearl. Very pretty!! __________________ |

Revlon is pretty good nail polish. I like the 30 seconds touch drying ones (though of course you should still give them longer to make sure its set hard). I used to have acrylic nails and two coats of Revlon and they wouldn't chip for a couple weeks (though admittedly polish might adhere to acrylic better than nail)

I just bequeathed my entire nail polish collection, including the one that Rayna just mentioned, to my sister in law. I know that I'm going overboard with caution, but my understanding is that the fumes from nail polish can be quite toxic, and I'm no longer worried only about myself. I have switched over to a brand called Honeybee Gardens (http://www.honeybeegardens.com/natur...ts/npwcne.html) and although it's not terrific as long-lasting nail polish, it has almost NO smell and is water-based and non-toxic.
I realized that if it's not good for the baby, then why would it be good for an adult? I'm sticking with this brand even post-pregnancy. __________________ thatsallicantypewithonehand |
