My ob/gyn said in reviewing my chart he saw there were pre cancerous cells 2 years ago! Well he tried to do a biopsy but couldn't get a sample from my uterus, very uncomfortable sometimes painful. I go for an untrasound tomorrow though he says that will just show the lining.

I figure I'll be getting a hysterectomy. I blame the iud for this problem. Hopefully I know more tomorrow. But I'm certain they will want a biopsy and i don't really want to go through that again.

Two years ago!! Yikes. I wonder if different gyn's are more skilled than others at doing uterine biopsies. I had one last summer and didn't feel anything more than a brief, tiny "pinch" on my uterus.
I am wishing you the best.
Thanks for this!

I'm seeing a new OB/GYN. Same clinic but different doctor. He was shocked no one followed up with me. My former doctor sucked. New doc says my uterus is tilted and the rod doesn't bend. He tried several times till I couldn't take the pain anymore.

I have a tilted uterus, too. Both to birth both babies by c-sec. Still didn't have such pain with biopsy.

Pleased to see that you do have a new OB/GYN. Sorry about the pain. Something else will need to be sorted so that you can get checked out properly.

Ultrasound was good. Scheduling a d&c when I'm off coumadin in about 3 weeks maybe sooner, talked to doctor about stopping coumadin sooner due to need for d&c biopsy.

I hope your news is good, too. I think it can take awhile for precancerous cells to actually turn into cancer. Maybe you could be put under anesthesia and the bad cells scraped out.

I've found uterine scraping to be painful. Probably depends on how hard the doc scrapes!
