I was reading the bra thread and started wondering about current trends in women's underwear. Do you folks wear a thong often? I know women who even wear them to the gym which sounds really sweaty and uncomfortable to me but it obviously works for them. I wear them on occasion. For example, a wedding guest dress where I don't want an underwear line to show. But I generally avoid them. If anyone is prone to UTIs or yeast infections ("thrush") thongs are not a good idea.

I had a pregnant colleague at one point who said she wore a VS thong every day of her life no matter what...even during pregnancy....because it was so comfortable. I thought Wow, I feel the opposite way! No judgment here. I'm curious what today's women are wearing. It is kind of fun to compare notes so to speak With regard to the gym, I actually found a line of VS underwear that goes nicely under yoga pants and doesn't leave a line. It's comfortable and not a thong. Just thought I'd mention because I like that option.

No way, I can never wear them. Can't stand the wedgies.

I almost exclusively wear g-strings/thongs, so much so that I find them MORE comfortable than regular undies, which always end up getting wedged up my bum, warranting an awkward retrieval. I initially began wearing gs/thongs in my late teens to avoid VPL, & just never looked back. I haven't had thrush in years (& I usually only get it when amoxycillin antibiotics are involved), & my UTIs only seem to show up when I forget to pee after sex, otherwise I don't seem to be overly affected by those conditions.

I wear them only for "sexy time" Haha. Other than that, I avoid them like the plague - I am a comfy undie girl! :P

I would kill to have a small atnd pretty enough butt to be able to wear those-they must drive the men wild!!!! They look uncomfortable tho.
To avoid panty lines, I just dont wear panties. My weight fluctuates so much that it was impossible to have ones that fit anyway. I am retired so I dont have to wear formal office attire. I wear tights or light knit pants or shorts every day here in Phoenix.

No way in Hades! I tell people that I throw my underwear out when it starts to fit like that.

Not if I can help it, they crawl up your backside and that's not comfortable at all, also not good when wearing a sanitary pad.

—-it’s me again, luvyrself. I should explain that I can go commando here in Phoenix because it’s so dry here that in the summer w 110 degree heat, my swimsuit is dry by the time I get home from the pool. Not wearing underwear might be gross in another climate. Tho the dryness has wreaked havoc w my skin, this desert climate has some huge advantages including warm winters , low housing prices, and no mosquitos! 90,000 people move here every year.

I wore thongs up until my mid-thirties. After all the "***-bacteria highway" talk (though I never had any problems) I switched to hipster bikinis, then to boy shorts.

Now, with no sexy-times on the horizon , I wear cotton full briefs, otherwise known as granny-panties. Comfy, sturdy underwear that washes well and needs replacing infrequently.

never have, never will--I agree with the person who said thongs or g-strings are like getting wedgies--and so they look terribly uncomfortable!

What about brazilians, they are not as skimpy but I have a few pairs which have no VPL.

Not to entice anyone, purely because they were cheap and I needed no VPL knickers.

I wear C strings . They are held in place firmly by a flexible internal frame. Since there is no material around the waist, the C-string completely eliminates the panty lines which g strings and other underwear create. The back hugs inside my crack without any creeping around.

what are brazilians, Romantic Rose? I've heard of brazilian waxes (ouch!) but not underwear.

Thongs since my late 30s (currently 52). I tried going back to regular but the leg-holes drove me nuts, as did feeling so much thickness across the outer hips and across my tum. It feels like wearing shorts under my pants. And in the grossly hot, humid summer where I am? Oh, no. Give me some circulating air! Feels kinda woo-woo under a flowing skirt or dress.

Whatever you find most comfortable (physically and style-wise), go for it!

Cotton briefs for me! I believe in flossing, but only my teeth!
