Wearing makeup, coloring hair, the clothes and shoes, having a wiggle, showing softness, acceptability to cry, birthing babies, talking openly about feelings

I love the fact that I can talk about my feelings and be sensitive without being judged. Male and female friends share their problems with me...I think at least part of that is due to my womanhood.

Thanks Tishbuv! I also enjoy wearing my hair long, coloring it, dresses/skirts, heels, and lip gloss

My hair colorist is a lovely young woman and we have genuine, intimate (not in the sexual sense) chats while she does my hair. Sometimes during appointments, I feel closer to her than to my female friends...I think it's an energy thing.

I like being able to wear skirts and dresses without being mocked. I don't care much for makeup though.

When I was younger, I loved that I could be a tomboy (it was discouraged by my mom but as a child, I loved trying to keep up with the boys) or dress up. I loved wearing my cowgirl boots with heels. I wore them in before/during/after kindergarten because I could put them on really fast (no ties) and sometimes in Middle School/HS because I had a horse that I rode nearly every day. I mostly wore blue jeans but also loved dresses.

I have been fortunate in that there have always been men in my life that wanted to help me and teach me about the world. First, there was my dad, then when I joined AFROTC, there were always boys and men who helped me. My AFROTC Commander became the Base Commander at the place I was first stationed. He was a wonderful mentor. The entire time I served in the military, I felt like there were always many men who "had my back". I experienced this in may other jobs also. And, of course, I have my husband and son who help me too.

I have always enjoyed my friendships with women as well. There were gfs in my life whom I felt like we were "of the same mind" and had wonderful adventures with. Every once in a while, I have found instant spiritual connections with a few of my gfs.

I enjoyed the experience of breastfeeding my children but could have done without the experience of childbirth. I love my relationship with my daughter.

As a petite woman, I feel like many people, animals and very young children are unafraid to walk up to me, tell me what they are thinking, that kind of thing. I have always known more about what is going on with our children than my H does and, ocassionally, have experienced, this dynamic at work too. Now that I am older, men still help me carry heavy things (sometimes we have to move barriers around in my part time job) which is a blessing since I lost a lot of strength after my attempt (but I am really working on trying to get back to my old self--I do yoga and a daily walk).

I love wearing jewelry and experimenting with different styles of dresses depending on my mood.

NoWinners— I felt like there were always many men who "had my back".

This is the opposite for me and the root of my trauma. Is it too late for me to join the military? Lol

A permission to cry while watching chick flicks.

A permission to carry a lighter box during moving.

A permission to turn up the thermostat in winter.

so many things--more freedom in how I dress (pants are very acceptable), fun with makeup, more freedom in expressing emotions, more sensitivity with others, getting together with women friends to talk and shop, being able to carry a baby in my body and give birth to it, greater privacy when I pee in public restrooms, etc.

I loved the baffled looks that I received from my sons when I told them last night that my feet were killing me as my heels landed in the middle of the kitchen. That's something they more than likely will never understand and I'm cool with that because as a woman there's a bit of sisterhood in even sharing that here

I love that I can use a variety of scents in shower gels or bar soaps or that I have variety in choices of clothing, shoe styles, hair styles. I can line up a row of skin care and not flinch at what each is or does or that there's so many things to use on my face that the outcomes are seemingly limitedless unless it is my own personal preferences limiting me. I love the feminine in femininity.

And if I choose to be tough/strong I can do that too.

Jewelry, I do like jewelry but I'm not swimming in it, at least I don't think so in comparison to what I know others do. I'm maintenance enough. Neither too low nor too high.

I love that self care has such a spin on it these days.

Definitely the friendships I've had with other women. Even just the automatic finding of common ground, of feeling a sense of exhale in the presence of other women, even strangers in a public space. That relaxed body language and look of relief when another woman enters an elevator or bus shelter and sees that I am a woman.

I like the variety in clothes, jewelry, accessories, shoes. If I was a guy I’d be bored to tears about my wardrobe!

Having a stronger immune system, so we don't get hit as hard by bacterial or viral infections. Women have a stronger immune response against the flu than men.
