What are some mini self-care that we can fit into our existing routine?

I like to listen to my favorite music or podcast on my commute, with uplifting scent (air freshener) in my car.

I like using aroma-therapeutic products in the shower. And Cinnamon toothpaste in the morning (yum!)

The reason I ask for more ideas is, right now, it causes me stress to "schedule" extra time for self-care like going to the salon since I'm dealing with works-shift schedule uncertainty.

So I wanted to know more things that I could incorporate into my daily routine.

watch a good movie/ episode of a fave tv show once in a while

walk places rather than public transport or car (if doable)

brush teeth

clean clothes (every day if possible, makes you feel good)

Like you, I am very responsive to scents (in a good way). Here is my fix:

https://www.amazon.com/Empty-Amber-G...dp/B01G98Y1BA/, one for morning and the other for evening (they come with blank stick-it labels, so I labeled one "evening mist" and other "morning mist".

In the evening mist, I dilute lavender essential oil with water (or in water - I am not sure how to say it correctly). With a generous helping of the oil. Before I go to sleep, I spray my pillowcases and fitted sheet.

In the morning mist, I put all sorts of invigorating oils, dilute and - spray the kitchen sink when I come to the kitchen first thing in the morning.

At work, I have little bottles with essential oils - citrus or rosemary - and I sometimes open a bottle and breathe in the scent.

I think you would like that.

I also listen to audiobooks before going to sleep.

I use Pinterest and collect beautiful images to look at when I'm stressed.

When I want to smell something nice I will put on perfume or scented hand lotion.

Having some tea like chamomile or peppermint can be soothing.

I like to sample perfumes, so I always have a ton of little sample sprayers around... so I am always wearing *something* interesting, even if I'm working from home and not seeing any people. I like the smells too!

I just started meditating. 10 minutes at lunch is SO hugely helpful to me, it's crazy. It just... feels like washing my brain. My job has been really stressful lately, and I'm sorting of hating everything - but I always feel better after 10 minutes (well, I'm increasing the time, up to 12.5 now!) at lunch time.

Those are my two biggies. I guess having good food ready to go for lunch feels like self-care to me. It's a pain to do meal prep every weekend (blah!) but it's nice to have stuff made for lunch so I don't have to really think or do much during the week.
