I am alone for Christmas. Only because my sister will no longer celebrate. She claims it’s against her religion. It sucks :/ cause I love Christmas it’s my favorite holiday. I can’t wait to get a boyfriend I’m gonna make sure he celebrates with me

Maybe. My parents want me to come over but I don't really feel like going.
Even if I went, I wouldn't feel any less alone.

I am. Thanksgiving hit me hard this year; in years before I didn't care if I was home alone for the Holidays, but this year, I am wanting to belong so I can enjoy Holidays with loved ones.

So, I am working on that, but I am in for the support on this thread.

I'll be alone and feel kind of sad about it. My one brother who I'm closest to, lives quite far away and never invites me. I used to spend the day with friends, but they moved several provinces away.

I've learned to make the best of a bad situation though, and always cook myself something nice for dinner, but it's still hard hearing other people talk about their plans for spending time with their families.

I will be alone as well. Thanksgiving weekend (four days) was really long for me....just thanking my lucky stars that the Christmas holiday is much shorter (as it's midweek). I will definitely offer support as well.

I will be mostly alone. My husband and I will go to a diner for dinner (we don't live together). So at least that takes a couple of hours. I never dreamed, never, that I wouldn't spend holidays with my children when they grew up. Makes me so sad, but I try not to dwell on it.

I did hang one strange of really pretty pink lights in my window. I love the lights and decorations.

It's just going to be me and my husband. His family lives close, but they have a difficult relationship.

My siblings and parents will get together at my parents’ house. I won’t be going. My mother and I have a very strained relationship. And, even if it were better, I can’t justify spending money on international flights since I recently lost my job and the economy here is awful due to unrest.

With everything that is going on here, we’re not exactly feeling festive. We’ll probably just have a quiet dinner. Pretty much everyone we know will be getting together with family.

I never would have imagined the holidays would be this way either.

I will be alone this year as well. I lost both my mother and brother in the past year and a half and my husband will be working. I'll be here to support.

I am looking forward to 3 and a half weeks of comfort and joy, i.e., with nobody bothering me. Then i have a dentist appt (checkup & cleaning) in january when school starts up again. I should probably try and get some of my margins down by then!

Just getting started with my holiday, and I'm struggling already. So lonely and bored! I've got to find something to do, or this could get really ugly, really quick. Thoughts? No one to talk to, and I'm new to the area, so no friends here, either. I'm so down, I can't concentrate on things like reading a book. My head is just a jumble. TV would be the same way. I will try to get out for a long walk with the dog once it warms up a bit later, as the sun is out this morning.
