Okay where to begin.
I am 18 years old and I have never been regular(you know in the period sense) it seems like whenever I have a month that is traumatic in the past it comes, but regardless it never does by its self. I started when I was 16 and even then and now I am very infrequent (yet I am fully developed regardless its pesky problem). I haven't gotten it in December at all. And I am wondering what can be helped with this. I heard the pill helps with adjusting hormones. Is that my problem low hormones or maybe more? Has anyone else had this problem and would like to share what they did for help? Or is it a case for the gyn to step in? I am very confused by this. Thank you for your help or suggestions __________________ http://angelofchaos.psychcentral.net/ Don't turn away(Don't give in the pain) Don't try to hide(though they're screaming your name) Don't close your eyes(God knows what lies behind them) Don't turn out the light (Never sleep, Never Die) Evanescence~Whisper |

My suggestion is to see your doctor. Stress can definitely affect your period. Often times birth control pills are used to regulate your cycle. However, it's best to see you doctor to determine the cause of your problem and what the best way to deal with it is. If you don't have an OB/Gyn, your family doctor will be able to help or refer you to an OB/Gyn if necessary.

I agree that going the pill at a low dose might be able to help...... it helped my niece when she was 15 and having similar issues with her cycle - plus the doctor advised her to put on a little weight, for she was under weight and it was effecting her monthly cycle as well.

Very normal issue for young women. I'd make an appointment with your doc for a physical.
