Hi,
Has anyone here been on birth control where it is designed for you to get your period every 3 months instead of monthly? I was on one that I took monthly (Yasmin) for years, but I have either severe PMS or PMDD and hope that by decreasing the amount of times that I get my period would help. Plus, I was getting headaches during my period week and food cravings. What was your experience like? I was recently prescribed Seasonique. I am curious if anyone has been on this type of seasonal birth control (90 day pills) and what your experience has been, especially when it comes to controlling your moods? It's bad enough to have Bipolar, but that time of the month is terrible! If this doesn't work, I will go back to Yasmin since it was basically a good birth control, but I wanted to try something else to get my period less to see if that makes a difference. I've only been on it a few days and notice mood swings, but I don't want to automatically blame the medication. I hope this isn't going to have the reverse effect on me in terms of my emotional problems. __________________ Bipolar 1 Disorder, Unspecified Anxiety Disorder |
