i stayed tore up over things i read about taking psych meds during pregnancy. im so happy to report i gave birth 3 months ago to a healthy baby girl. during my whole pregnancy took 100mg zoloft a day. early pregnancy my nervous system was so wired i couldnt eat so my ob doc actually put me on klonopin--.25mg after consulting with my pdoc. i told pdoc this .25 isnt going to do crap for my nervous system so increased to .5 a day. in the third trimester he increased it to 1mg a day & baby girl came out just fine. i also took antivert for bad dizziness & nausea & they increased my thyroid med cuz the dose i took while not pregnant wasnt enough when pregnant. i just thought this might be helpful to someone cuz of the stuff they say about psych meds during pregnancy. also at the very beginning they tried the stop all medications thing & my body went nuts. where do these people go to freakin school??

I took a low dose of Celexa when I was pregnant with my son in the beginning then was slowly tapered off during my pregnancy. My son was a healthy 10 pounder. Naturally women get very protective when their pregnant. I remember obsessing about artificial coloring and caffiene. I think it's important to find a prenatal doctor you trust completely and rely on their information. It's important to let go of every stress and worry or you'll have a stressful pregnancy.
