What would you do if not one person would care to talk to you at all at a gathering and you're not having such a good time? What would you do if something soured your mood and no one cares to listen to you except to bad mouth you? What distractions would help in this case when you are really feeling left out?

Yes, I would leave. My thought would be that I don't have enough in common with the others.
