Has anyone tried a menstrual cup or panties? What did you think? Pros? Cons?

I do not menstruate thanks to Mirena, but a friend of mine uses a cup and is happy with it. that is all I know.

Nope. I had such heavy periods that I’d not try anything that might just not be enough. I was always paranoid that it would go through my clothes at work and I’d be wearing something light that day. I always had change of clothes at work and in the car in case. I didn’t even trust tampons. Old fashioned pads for me please

Yep been using the cup for about 15 years now and it works well for me - like Divine though I’m also a heavy flow so use a pad too. Haven’t tried the pants but wonder about them.

I have never seen panties where I live. I have seen the cup advertised, but am nervous about trying it. I think it would be too easy to cause a mess getting it out.

I'm thinking about investing in period panties for my daughter now that her periods have returned. They'll work wonders with the pads that she can only use because of her special needs.

Being almost 68, I haven't had to worry about such matters in 18 years, and I've never seen a cup or even know about the panties. It was always pads for me. And back in the day, women had to wear "sanitary belts" that the pad's ends were slipped through to hold them in place. Thank goodness the sticky ones came along.
So, the cup and the panties could be better for some women? |
