I'm a new mom, work-full time, and take care of everything in our household. Every single day I sit and wonder: when are my needs going to matter? When is my husband going to help take care of me for a change?

Listen, I get that women are strong. We can do anything and everything. Honestly, I think we're penalized for it because we're then expected to do it all. I'm treading on angry and bitter.

That sounds like a lot to cope with. Do you talk to your husband about helping out more? It sounds like you’re doing more around the home/childcare than him.

Oh and in answer to your question our needs matter very much, even when we are parents.

Check out narcissism. If your partner cared about you, he would step it up.

I understand how you feel. It can be so hard when your trying to hold it together but it feels nearly impossible.
