Does anyone here deal with chronic vaginal irritation and burning? I am at my wits end trying to figure out how to make it stop. I have some kind of infection at least once a month. I buy yeast creams, antibiotics, etc constantly because otherwise I would be at the gyno every month paying $60 plus hundreds of dollars for swabs trying to detect what the problem is— it is different each time. It always feels the same. Sometimes it’s yeast. Sometimes it’s a UTI. Sometimes it’s BV. I buy all the over the counter preventative stuff. I take lots of pyridium to ease the pain. Sometimes I spray benzocaine all over down there. I’m just so so sick of it all!!! My husband is fed up with excuses not to have sex. Believe me I would love to fix the problem and be able to have sex. We used to be intimate at least once or twice or day and it is dwindling down. Sometimes I just grit my teeth and bear it for him. I am 45 years old but not pre-menopausal that I know of. My periods are predictable and no issues there. I’m thinking of trying to find some kind of doctor that is expert on this sort of thing but no doctors I’ve gone to seem to know what to do. I'm so sorry, maddie. I was diagnosed with a metabolic problem years ago--not handling calcium oxalate--so I was given a list of foods to avoid. I also connected with the Vulvar Pain organization. (Be back in a bit with more details.) Okay, here you go:

Welcome to The VP (Vulvar Pain) Foundation

I don't know if it deals with internal pain, but it's worth a try. There would be a lot of supportive women there, too, who might have othery suggestions.

Please keep us informed. We definitely care. i hope you feel better soon.
