My testosterone results are in and they are borderline low. Still within the normal range but very close to the bottom of the range. I am 53. I am trying to tease out if my low libido is because of psychiatric meds or because of hormone levels. Has anyone dealt with borderline low testosterone and how did you decide to proceed?

I found that when I took tribulus, my libido increased and so did my testosterone.

I can infer that females do take it, too, from the following WebMD article, which cautions against taking it if the user is pregnant or nursing:

thanks for the link. I see it may cause trouble sleeping, so it is probably not a supplement for me.

The endocrinologist wrote that my testosterone results are normal, but I have not yet reported sexual issues to her.
In terms of psych meds, moving from Latuda to its cousin AP Geodon has improved things for me, but not brought it completely back to normal. __________________ Bipolar I w/psychotic features Last inpatient stay in 2018 Geodon 40 mg Seroquel 75 mg Lybalvi 5 mg as a PRN Gabapentin 1200 mg, Vitamin B-complex (against extrapyramidal side effects) Long term side effects from medications some of them discontinued: - hypothyroidism - obesity Suspected narcolepsy Treated with Ritalin 5mg |
