Okay I have been on depo for a year and a half, and My new insurance doesnt cover it. I decided I am done with it, and 3-31-08 was supposed to be my next shot. Anyone been on it and gotten off it before? Because I would like to here from anyone who might have an idea if my period will come back eventually or what. Ever since Ive been on depo ive had no periods, and just some light stuff, but thats it.

hey. i've heard it can take up to two years from the time you stop the depo to the time you regain your fertility. not sure if that means that it can take up to two years from the time you stop the depo to the time you start menstruating again or if you tend to start menstruating before you regain your fertility. not sure.

you should of course use alternative forms of birth control from the 3-31-08 regardless of whether you have started menstruating again or not.

I have bloating and cramping and a little of brown stuff when i wipe (tmi i know but ive got to be descriptive to explain what im going through!) I always had bad cramps and bloating pre-period and during my period. I havent seen a real period in a long time. Well now that Im off the depo, i guess it wants to be set free or something.

I'm on my fifth month of it and I've only just stopped bleeding! I bled for a full month to start with then 2/4 weeks after that... this is the first month (touch wood) that I haven't had it... I still get the period pains as if I were on it though :s strange and not very nice... but I'm taking it for health reasons (I'm suspected to have PMDD or Endo)

...about that depo again
your body just probably wants to get back to 'normal'... my doc says the reason I bled so much is that my body fought against it

oh its tough being a woman!
