Appearance is important to me. I like to look good and it makes me feel good to look good. Even when I'm really down, I still go to great lengths to take care of myself.

Some of my stuff:

Shower every single day, no matter what. I literally cannot remember the last day I went without taking a shower. Even the last time I had a horrible stomach virus, I still managed to get myself into the shower that day. It is said that water washes away our pain, illnesses, and impurities. I truly believe that.

Eyebrow waxing every two weeks.

Makeup everyday.

Three-step facial system every night.

ALWAYS have toenails polished (even in the winter).

Occasionally go for facials.

Cover arms and legs in lovely scented moisturizers.

Wear perfume.

Never leave the house without earrings.

What do you do to look lovely? What makes you feel good in regards to taking care of your appearance? Men, feel free to join in!!!! What do you do to make yourself fabulous?

I never go out without jewelery.

Wage continual war against facial hair with a combination of waxes and tweezers.

Wear attractive outfits that suit my body type. I'm heavy, but I've learned to dress in a way that feels both attractive and comfortable.

I begin with a great hair duo and color

Add a little perfume, flattering outfit and earrings........ all done.

* * * * * * *

I go with the natural look most days - but will add a little make-up for special occassions.

I try to remember to shower every day. For me that's a big thing.

Well, for me the phrase "yourself fabuous" is an oxymoron. It just isn't possible!

Impossible!!!!!!! But what I do to make myself feel better is all I can do.

I agree with the thought that the shower washes away everything that isn't good. I usually start the day with a hot shower.....then cool it down......it seems to get my body moving as I wake up very stiff (old age setting in). The shower & wash my hair.....but the hair is always a problem......as it's so curley & no matter what I do to curl it....it always ends up in a frizzy mess here in the Kentucky humidity......so I just pin it up for the summer weather. Makeup is also a waste of time & even though I love perfume.....so do the bugs when I go outside to work in the yard.......so mostly, I don't bother with even trying anything to make myself look fabulous....I just work on making myself feel good & that's all I can ask for right now.

Hmmm, fabulous is not a word that fits me at all, lol. But I do try to keep from looking like a bag lady (apologies to bag ladies).

I take a shower and wash my hair everyday.

I color my hair every 3-4 weeks.

I go to the dermatologist once a year to deal with my acne.

Once a week or so I take a curling iron to my hair to give it some bounce.

I wear a little foundation each day. And sometimes some blush and dark eye circle concealer if I'm really feeling ambitious.

I try to stay out of the sun so I don't burn, and I wear sunscreen if I have to be out when it's sunny.

I go to the dentist twice a year.

That's about it. BORING!

Epilation... And I agree with the idea of nice scented moisturisers. I was particularly keen on body butter but the price of that has got a bit out of hand IMHO. I feel nice and clean and tidy when I'm all hairfree and nicely moisturised :-)

My hair... I try not to wash my hair too often... Apparently once per week is ideal - but I really can't tolerate that. Wash it every couple of days. I'm a big fan of leave in hair conditioners (or moisturisers) and have been known to spend a bit of money on those... Smooth away those frizzy bits give it a bit of bounce, and protect it from the UV and help it stay nice while it grows :-)

Aside from that I don't do a heck of a lot. Moisturizer with sunscreen for my face and that is about it. My idea of comfort is more going along to a cafe and enjoying working in the sun. That helps brighten my day and gives me reason to get out of bed in the morning :-)

I guess I missed Pachy's reply-- I see it was deleted.

I'm also obsessed with shaving. I shave everyday. Any tiny amount of hair makes me feel yucky.

I really have fun with my makeup. I consider it another form of self-expression. I love experimenting with my eye makeup... I am also trying different ways to do it, funky and interesting combinations of colors.

I do little obsessive things. I use 2-3 products in my hair to give it extra shine. I don't care if anyone notices. It makes me feel good.

I love the word 'fabulous.' I found it interesting that a couple of people were quick to say that the word didn't apply to them. I think that you are all fabulous. Allow yourself to be fabulous. What do you do to make yourself fabulous? What do you do to make yourself fabulous?

pachy said nothing needed to be done because pachy IS fabulous!! loved it!

I love to shower and shave. Sometimes (in this subtropical region) I shower more than once a day. There is nothing in the world that feels better than feeling fresh and clean.

And after the shower, a nice helping of Moonlight Madness lotion.. ahhhh.

I like to wear makeup and especially lipstick. I think lipstick makes such a difference.

I color my hair, starting only in the last year after many many years of gray. I started going gray in my late teens. Now I'm a redhead! What do you do to make yourself fabulous?

I like artsy jewelry but don't have enough to wear something every day.

A smile, some competitiveness, an open and curious mind and I'm ready for the day.

I always wear lipstick and almost always wear earrings.

I pluck my eyebrows and get my upper lip waxed.

I am very conscious about my appearance and never go out looking dowdy.

I love this thread!!!

Fabulous = hours in jacuzzi tub ignoring little children banging on door and crying out, "We're hungy! How much longer are you going to be in there!!"

Utterly Fabulous = My favorite jeans and high heels. Love the way they make my booty look! Love the way the DH looks at the booty!

I take a shower every day. Sometime I try to not wash my hairevery day 'cause it's bad for your hair, but I at least rinse and condition.

I get laser treatment for hair removal (upper lip and bikini).

I work out - cardio and weight lifting - 3 or 4 times a week. Feeling my body in shape is really important to me. I've realized it makes me feel stronger and more confident.

I dress stylishly (in my opinion!). I love heals!

Wear make-up. Lipstick and a little mascara are my favorite.

Try to go to yoga once a week.

Got a great new haircut after my divorce!

Sometimes when I'm depressed these little things at least get me up and out of bed.
