About 7 1/2 months ago I had surgery for uterine fibroid tumors. The doctor thought that they would be able to do the surgery laproscopically but they ended up having to cut me open after going through my bellybutton. Anyway as I said it has been almost 8 months and I am still having a lot of tenderness and sometimes out right pain. Has anyone else had this same surgery and have you had the same experience?

Hey Vanessa, Sorry that you had to have the surgery, I've had it twice. I have them again and they are from excess estrogen in your body... If you are still having pain this far out you need to talk with your doctor...that sounds abnormal to me... I don't know how old you are but this last time when they recommended surgery I opted out...they wanted to do a hysterectomy and when I said no they said they could do an ablation....I opted out on that too... I did my own research and then started using progesterone cream that I bought at the health food store...the brand I used was femcreme but progest is another good brand... I started out using a very, very small dose because starting out using too much can cause anxiety and some depression because your body is depleted of it because your estrogen is so high... That shrank my fibroids and eliminated the symptoms...

Hope you're feeling better soon...
