So, I quit taking birth control about 3 weeks ago as my husband and I would like to try to have a baby.
I ended my menstrual cycle on May 14th and then started again on the evening of the 27th....that's just about 2 weeks from the last one! ![]() I have never been on birth control, so I have no experience with the changes my body is facing right now and have no clue how "normal" this is. I have been having semi-heavy flow for 4 days now with cramps the whole time. In your opinion (no expert advice required ![]() IDK, if anyone has any experience I would appreciate it. I would hate to call my doctor for something that could possibly be common. Thanks! ![]()

Depending on the kid of birth control you were on and for how long will depend onthe kind of withdrawal you will experience. It may take a couple of cycles for your system to return to "normal", but in the mean time you may still be able to get pregnant. and If you do become so you may find that you are reacting alot the same way, since women respond differently to pregnancy too. Don't be afraid to call the dr. to ask questions. A phone call is free and they may be able to give you some answers over the phone.

Hi
I experienced some similar symptoms when i went off BC to have my second baby. I was off for about 6 months before i got pregnant. My periods never came at regular intervals before i was on the pill, so it was hard to judge if i was pregnant or not. There were times i thought i was because i thought i was a week late then it would come again. Sometimes you can be crampy when you are first pregnant, and bleed a little too. Just depends. I would think that whats going on is probably normal. Give your body time to level out. If you are still worried then call your doctor. I'm sure they are used to your kind of questions. I work in an eye doctors office and even at the front desk there are questions we hear so many times that we know what the doctor will tell you. GOOD LUCK!!!!! ![]() ![]() |
