I'm so upset.... I am trying to go to voc. rehab. meetings, but lately they have been coming up with excuses, last minute, why I can't go. I mean if they are so worried about the roads being slick, my aunt could drive me the 7 miles and drop me off... but NOOOO... she's tired. She acts like it would kill her to do that.
I have so many relatives, but none of them are helpful either. I mean, if they were serious about me getting a job, they would help me a little more here!!

I got help, the lady I was meeting with was able to pick me up and meet with me. Anyway, this lady refers mentally ill and other disabled people to local employers that want to hire disabled people.

That certainly is good news. Isn't it amazing how the "right" people come into our lives just when we need them most?
On a down note, I'm so sorry your family isn't supportive of you. I know that feeling and it isn't a pleasant one. My son is mentally handicapped but he works for Home Depot 30 hours a week. He gets all benefits and Home Depot has actually sent people to pick him up for work when his regular special transportation cannot do so. I bring this up to point out that there are some really wonderful companies out there with some really huge hearts...my holiday wish for you is that you find the perfect job that focuses on your abilities! And please know that I'm always here should you need a friendly ear to hear you ~ Melanie
