At the end of the month I finally lost my job.
I say finally because the company I was working for had been losing money for ages and my project was going really badly; it was pritty obvious I was going to be made redundant. I was about the 4th person laid off last month. From what I hear there's going to be one or two more. I hate having to look for a job, be on unemployment, go for interviews. *sigh* |

I'm sorry. And welcome to the unemployed club. I'm job hunting too and find it really stressful. I find making sure that I have a routine in my day really helps.
Good luck with the job hunt. --splitimage |

Seems to be a crouded club these days.
I'm not good with routine. If I don't have something to do I end up sleeping 'till afternoon and then sitting around watching TV and surfing the 'net. ![]() |

Now that you're unemployed, your job/work is looking for work. Set a routine for yourself, alarm, rise dress eat, and then whatever it is you need to do for your type of work and area. Do you need to go buy the day's paper? Do you search online? Do you go store/door to door?
Make a goal of filling in xx number of applications a week. Keep track of where you left them, follow up with phone calls or revisit. Or... you can wait and collect unemployment and then you won't have to work for 2 years. ![]()
