I am a very lucky person I feel. I have maxed out on my unemployment reaching 99 weeks. Apparently, congress has extended that. I now have another 20 weeks of unemployment because the unemployment rate in my state (Pennsylvania) is above 8%.
It just seems when I am in dire need the money comes from somewhere. My landlord is selling my house so I have to move by December 31st. My unemployment ran out last week. I had no idea how I was going to pay for a security deposit and rent for another place. It was looking really bad and then suddenly I get this letter in the mail giving me the 20 weeks! I definitely have someone looking out of me

I am happy for you, Skully.

As far as I know Congress hasn't extended anything yet though.
The maximum is still 99 weeks and actually, there are no plans to extend this 99 weeks. But hey, perhaps I missed a memo...

That is what I am finding out....maybe it is just a thing my state passed? I have no idea but I am thankful for the extra 20 weeks since I have to move and all. Hopefully before the 20 weeks are up I can find a job!
