One year. It never occurred to me that it would take this long...

Awww...I'm sorry to hear it's taking so long. I do career counseling and would love to help you - for free - no charge for my PC friends ever. PM me if you want some help or just to vent.
Thanks for this!

I'm really sorry. Aside from a 2 month period in a job which I got fired from during the probation period, it's been a year for me too. Thank heaven's I landed a part time university teaching job, so I have something current on my resume.

It really sucks.

Thank you for your support. I got my master's degree in '09, and it took until November to find a job. I was fired too. Never been fired before. That's been hard to come back from, and I'm sure affects my lack of success in my job search. And I know I haven't tried as hard as I should.

I had a job for a few years. As a last resort, I tried a canvassing job. Got fired today after 3 days. I didn't bring in enough money.

I have been unemployed for 2 years and just got a job offer Friday! I am super excited! I am actually relocating to a new city 2 hours away for work! Have you thought about relocating?
Thanks for this!

Thank you for sharing. I actually started a new job about 5 weeks ago, and I'm very happy there! Never been this happy 5 weeks into a job.
