Last week, I'd sent my resume in to apply for a position that I really wasn't that qualified for - I mean I could do the work, I just don't have experience in the role. This morning, I got a call from the company's HR person, saying that they'd just decided to hire someone on a 6 month contract, and would I be interested? I said tentatively yes, so she sent me the job description today.
I'd take a 6 month contract at this point, and they are offering benefits even though it's only contract, so that would help. The difficulty is I have an interview on the 11'th for a 15 month contract. Obviously I'd rather have the 15 month contract. The company with the 6 month contract wants to interview mid week this week. If they make me an offer, how can I politely stall them until I find out about the 15 month contract? -splitimage |

Can you some how tell them you have a prior commitment on the 11th and you will need that day? Just a thought!
