Well, as the title states, as of a few hours ago, I dropped of a letter of resignation at my most recent job. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about it yet. I was only there for about a year and a half. I got another job on the side, unfortunately, the other job is only a temporary position. That being said, being at this other job made me realize that this is supposed to be what a job should feel like! I look forward to going, and I don't feel depressed and internally empty and drained when I'm there. Why is it that the positions that don't suck are the ones that are only temporary? Bah!

I'm honestly a little bit scared over leaving and whether or not I'm doing the "right" thing... but I feel like going back after the other job ends would be doing a personal disservice to myself. I feel so conflicted, but I guess there's no turning back now. I haven't seen my T for the past month due to some personal reasons of his, and I just really wish he was around so I could've received a bit of his input on all of this.

I hope your temp job becomes permanent, and I'm glad you like it better. I had to quit a job I was good at bc I couldn't stand my co-worker. Also, a bad boss can kill the deal. Studies report that ppl prefer to work not for more money but more respect.

Peace & Hugs,

TnT

I agree with you sesame. I am still searching for a job that feels right for me. Also, yes, most of the jobs I want to do are also temporary positions. I like to work in helping trades and most of those available are government sponsored programs that only last for a short period with only part-time hours or short terms.

In this small city too, most employers are in the service industry so most jobs available are minimum wage, part-time. Most residents here are working two meaningless jobs just to get by and neither position shows much respect. My present retail employer was bought out and will be closing in 9 months.

Anyway, my point is...if you can find anything that you actually enjoy doing, stick to it. Do try to find something else in the meantime, but hold on to the one you like for now.
