I went out last night to a ladies' gathering and met a woman from a workplace near me that is hiring in a deli for an overnight shift...fulltime, which is more hours than i am presently working. It has better pay than I am rpesently earning, and it is just down the hill from me so I don't have to worry about bus fare or cab fares to get to and from work. I have experience in this line of work and I won't be dealing with the customers because it is an overnight shift which is also the shifts my sons work at their jobs, so we will all be working the same patterns and we will see one another more often.
The event I attended last night was hosted by a coworker from the place I am at now and she told me at work today that the woman is eager to receive my application tomorrow. Our present employer is closing down anyway so we are all eventually to be laid off. I am applying tomorrow. |

I dropped off my resume and the manager immediately booked an interview for me 6 pm tomorrow. I think he knew I was coming.

I had my interview and it seemed to be very positive with smiles and good conversation. The woman said she will call my references and will hopefully be speaking with me soon
