So, at the construction company I work at (my full time job), the owner keeps saying that I need to learn all the accounting. This is really exciting. I love accounting, and it's what I do best.

Yesterday the accountant had me do a bank reconciliation, and I've never done one, but I figured it out. At the end it was $19K off from the books, and I have an idea about why, but I'm not sure it will go over well if I tell them. I think the starting number in the system is wrong, but it's the start of the fiscal year, so you would think it would be right. idk, maybe I'm missing something.

I also learned how to do licenses, and enter checks into the system. I can't wait to learn more. I need to learn how to enter deposits, so the system number will be correct. I'm pretty sure I could figure it out, but I'd rather have them show me.

Hopefully, with learning all this stuff they'll keep me here for a while. If not, I can come back in January, when the projects restart.

That's really exciting! I'm happy for you! It always makes me feel really good when I get to learn new things at work and do more, especially if it is something that I really enjoy.
