I work at a 7-11, nightshifts. I covered for a co-worker who was sick, I thought he was just hungover but now I have swollen lymph nodes in my neck this morning. It freakin sucks man, most people when they get sick, they can say "my throat is sore" or "I have the flu"...swollen lymph nodes? wtf is that?

I look to my left at all, and I get this painful muscle spasms or something, so I can't even drive. I will get kudos for covering the other day, but this lymph node thing can go on for 3-4 days, and I'm scheduled for the whole damn weekend.

If no one can cover me, my boss has to go in, and I feel so freakin bad because she has two jobs, two kids, and was already stressed out from orders not getting down by the person I covered.

So sorry to hear that you aren't feeling well. I know it is hard but try not to feel too bad It isn't your fault. There isn't anything you can do about it. I am sure that your boss will understand and find a way to make it work.

Thanks! Yeah I ended up having to go in, she knew I wouldn't be able to do much besides run register. Wasn't too bad of a night, sure freaked me out though-can't stand the thought of letting co-workers and boss down.

Take care,
