I was forced off my 21 year job by a new boss that felt threatened by me for some reason.
I suffer fron anxiety and i am very anxious, crying, sad, and feel hopeless.
I am scheduled to start monday. I dont have much of a support system. People I talk to think its a big joke. But I am so afraid of screwing up and having nothing.
I am so scared

It would be the unusual person who wasn't anxious about starting a new job, especially after a bad experience in their last one.

Even though you are anxious, try to allow your mind to be open to things about this new job that you might like. Who knows? Maybe that new boss did you a favor but you just don't know it yet. But if this new job isn't the one for you, you can look for a new one. That 'I've got to make this new job work out, etc' kind of thinking just adds pressure.

Ask for any support you can get while you are going through this transition. Let us know how it goes.

I know how difficult it is, as I have been dropping in and out of the workforce for decades. I just remind myself that it is all the unknowns creating the anxiety, and that once I get my foot wet and see that the water is warm, I jump right in and swim. Blessings and prayers to you
