...your own parents smear you. By pointing out the flaw you just never seem to understand. "I told you millions of times to do x and instead you go and do y!" (So that x can't be done)

It has happened to me...

It makes me angry to hear stories like yours and breaks my heart that parents would do such a thing to a child/adult child. You can, however, overcome the things your parents tell you. I hope you are in therapy to help you get over these hurtful thoughts your parents have put in your mind.
